I will overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.

Former two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
